Details on Presenters:
Dr Frank Zimmerling studied dental medicine in Würzburg, Germany. After a short stint as an assistant dentist in a private practice, he joined the University Dental Clinic in Bonn, Germany, as a resident in the departments of preclinical education and prosthodontics. In 2003, he established a dental practice in Cologne, Germany, and in the same year he received his doctorate in dentistry. Since 2010, he has held the positions of Manager Professional Services and Manager Global Education Clinical and since 2021, he is Head of Removable Prosthetics Global Education at Ivoclar in Liechtenstein. He lectures and offers training courses internationally, specializing in removable prosthetics. He holds the additional qualifications of BPS Master Instructor and Instructor for the SEMCD technique developed by Dr J. Abe.
Mattheus Boxhoorn, Senior Manager, is a certified dental technician who trained in Switzerland. He worked as an all-round technician in a commercial laboratory for 24 years. During this time, he started to work with the team of Prof. Gerber, and then joined the Condylator Service. His work in the laboratory of Max Bosshart enabled him to broaden his knowledge of removable denture prosthetics. He spent a year abroad in the US and at the University of Queensland in Australia, lecturing in removable prosthetics. Since 2005, he has held the position of Manager Global Education Technical for full denture prosthetics at Ivoclar. He is a master instructor for the Biofunctional Prosthetic System and the DDP Digital Denture System as well as a technical instructor for the Suction Effective Mandibular Complete Denture technique (SEMCD developed by Dr Jiro Abe).
